Dr. Rick Barker Bio:

With nearly 30 years of ministry experience and a doctorate degree of Ministry in Theology, Dr. Rick Barker is an anointed bible teacher. Rick’s ministry experience in that time has included serving as an associate pastor, church planter, leadership trainer, and lead pastor. Additionally, Dr. Rick has taught in bible colleges, helped in establishing Life Christian University of Cherokee in 2012 and oversees missions. He has established small group ministries, trained ministry leaders, and has overseen the ministry of helps in the local church. His experience in the ministry birthed a passion in him to champion discipleship in the body of Christ and to see pastors have the tools and resources to grow a strong local church. One of the key themes of his ministry has been to create a culture of discipleship that undergirds pastors of the local church. As a bible college instructor, Rick has given countless students a solid biblical foundation to fulfill their God given call and take their place in the local church. Rick’s ministry offers consulting to church planters and pastors of existing works. He continues to serve the body of Christ and church leaders to nurture and encourage the gifts in others. Lastly, Dr. Rick is a team leader, building a team to establish strength through encouraging each member to function in their strengths to take the team further in fulfilling the vision and mission of ministry.
